WEST HOLLYWOOD—Whether it's achieving the perfect faux glow, sun-kissed skin, or lashes that won't quit, Blushington (8591 Sunset Blvd) makeup and beauty lounge is helping you reach those #summergoals with a tutorial this Thursday from 6-7:30pm courtesy of makeup maven Jessica Scantlin. For a $75 fee, guests can sip champagne while taking in quick tips and insider secrets from the cosmetics expert and then enjoy a 20% off products from lines like Stila and Kevyn Aucoin to put those new skills to work! Ensure your spot for the event by calling the store at 310-652-5874. If you're new to the We-ho beauty bar, be sure to also ask about their glamming services like camera-ready makeup application eyelash extensions, or brow tinting.

WEST HOLLYWOOD—Lovers of fashion history will be enchanted this Friday, as The Grove (189 The Grove Dr) unveils "A Tartan Affair," an exhibition of costumes from Starz's series, Outlander. While the time-spanning show offers a variety of wardrobe opportunities for its cast, this collection focuses on the custom pieces (designed by Terry Dresbach) from the Scottish Highlands-set episodes of the first season. Executive Producer Ronald D. Moore will be present for the official opening at 11am, and visitors will be able to view a dozen of the stunning ensembles at various displays throughout the shopping center. The exhibit continues through Sunday, May 31st when the mall highlights the conclusion with a visit from author Diana Gabaldon, who will appear at Barnes & Noble for a Q&A to discuss her book series that inspired the television show.

SANTA MONICA—True sneakerheads are no stranger to British brand Gola, which had its humble beginnings way back in 1905. For its impressive upcoming 110th birthday, men's shoe store Conveyer at Fred Segal (420 Broadway) celebrates in true UK style: with cocktails! From 7-10pm, the Pabst and Balance sponsored soiree treats customers to sips on the house and tunes by DJ AJ English, plus the promise of rad Gola giveaways. Join in the festivities honoring the nostalgic shoe giant by emailing with your RSVP.
