Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Abbot Kinney is quite busy these days. Joining John Fluevog is new boutique LA Angels, which debuted between the unique soles store and eyewear brand Illesteva last Friday.
Located in a former shoe repair shop, the "unusual souvenir shop" offers apparel, accessories, jewelry, decor, art, and more goods by LA-based designers. On the ground floor, expect to find reworked vintage clothing by Lock Stock & Barrel, accoutrements by jeweler Veronica Rose, ceramics by flea market regular Lustered Walnut, upcycled notebooks by Brown Bag Book, and more cool local talents. Upstairs, the shop will soon offer merch crafted by European talents.
L Angels is open Monday through Friday from 11am to 7pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 7pm.
