LA's Claire Pettibone on Designing Nikki Reed's Wedding Gown

Last year, we explored the enchanting showroom/castle of Claire Pettibone, and LA-based wedding dress guru that has dressed everyone from Starlet Elizabeth Moss and Cupcakes & Cashmere blogger Emily Schuman on their big days. Pettibone's latest famous client is Twilight's Nikki Reed, who wore a customized version of the designer's Elizabeth gown (above) for the ceremony and the Midnight style for the reception on April 26th.

Pettibone tells People of her time working with Reed: "From the moment we met, we had a great rapport, and it was so easy designing for her! [...] She knew she wanted 3/4-length sleeves, and we created an illusion neckline. Since she wasn't going to wear a veil, I suggested adding a bit more drama to the train by adding a lace-edged tulle layer to the back of the skirt. [...] My design aesthetic was a great fit for the vibe Nikki wanted for her wedding day with Ian: a little boho, romantic and timeless, with a sexy [twist]."
