More good news for Westside eyewear addicts. As promised, New York-based brand Illesteva has unveiled its first-ever West Coast boutique on Abbot Kinney this week. Located next door Intelligentsia in antique shop Neptunia's former space, the shop stocks the CFDA Fashion Fund finalist's full range of statement-making frames ($165 and up).
In addition to the celeb-faved brand's handcrafted sunglasses and opticals, the 650-square-foot space offers a build-your-own specs station and Illesteva's line of luxe leather bags. Co-founder Daniel Silberman tells us interior decor highlights include upcycled wood fixtures handmade in LA and monochromatic selfies of legendary rocker Lou Reed in the brand's cool sunnies. He also reveals that the Venice shop will soon offer exclusive merch and that more Cali outposts are in the works.
Illesteva is open Monday through Friday from 11am to 7pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 7pm.
