Although we're bummed that Raf Simons is no longer heading to our city, we just scored a visit from another beloved Belgian designer—and he's iconic. For the past few days, the wildly innovative Dries Van Noten has been busy enjoying his first-ever trip to LA. Although we're not sure why the notoriously enigmatic talent is here (fingers crossed that it involves scouting store locations), he's been spotting doing some local shopping, most notably at Mohawk Man in Silver Lake.
Mohawk General Store captured the moment on Instagram this past weekend, sharing an image of Dries casually leaning against the men's boutique and art gallery's doorway. It's pretty cool to see that Mohawk Man, winner of our 2013 Best Men's Store poll is still a menswear mainstay, and now, a Dries-approved shopping destination.
