Thanks to online-turned-real-life opticians, we've happily accepted the fact that spectacles shopping isn't a one-size-fits-all sitch. After launching its home try-on service last year, fashionable frames brand David Kind has opened its Venice showroom for personal fittings.
Located just a quick stroll from Abbot Kinney on Electric Avenue, the 450-square-foot space offers the luxury eyewear company's full range of women's and men's glasses ($295) handcrafted in Japan and Italy. Shoppers will be paired with an expert optician, who'll fit the wearer in the best style for their face during an approximately one-hour consultation. A new set of specs—complete with lenses made in LA—will then arrive at your door in 5 to 10 days.
Into it? Book your appointment by calling (310) 392-6892 or shoot an email to firstname.lastname@example.org; note that there's no on-site optometrist, so be sure to bring your prescription.
David Kind is open Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm.
