As promised, yesterday Nike reopened its renovated concept shop at Santa Monica Place to a packed house of superfans. Similar to Nike's San Francisco and Fashion Island locations, the two-story, 20,000-square-foot space heavily focuses on women's gear, offering a unique range of running, training, and sportswear products, in addition to bra fitting, pant hemming, and personal shopping.
Welcoming guests with a cool, central open atrium featuring a custom "Just Do It" art installation made of reclaimed gym floors, Nike SaMo also has tons of options for the guys (running, training, basketball, skateboarding, Jordan). Nike.com Assist is another highlight, enabling shoppers to purchase product from both Nike.com and in-store in a single mobile transaction, with free shipping. Want even less interaction? Visitors to the store can also utilize contactless payment technology and Apple Pay at the register.
"We've served the Santa Monica community for the past five years and look forward to bringing Nike's digital and in-person services to consumers in the community to help them achieve their athletic potential," says Dennis van Oossanen, Vice President of Nike North America Direct to Consumer. "Nike Santa Monica is a pinnacle expression of our commitment to inspire and serve athletes of all ages, while deepening our community engagement."
Nike Santa Monica is open Monday through Saturday from 10am to 9pm and Sunday from 11am to 8pm. For more information on the store's Nike+ Training Club and Nike+ Run Club schedule, visit nike.com/la or follow @NikeLA on Twitter.
