Nope, this next news isn't a joke. Following her mall openings at The Grove, Americana at Brand, and Santa Monica Place, Diane Von Furstenberg is shuttering her nearly ten-year-old boutique on Melrose Avenue, reports WWD.
Per the fashion trade pub, the legendary wrap dress designer's soon-to-be-vacated space "[leaves] an opportunity for Marc Jacobs, which pioneered the area's retail development, to expand its Los Angeles flagship that occupies the triangular space on the corner of both streets."
Staff at the 1,700-square-foot West Hollywood shop tell us that the store is expected to close Thursday, April 30th.
