Arthur George, who? LA's coolest sockwear label isn't helmed by a Kardashian but it is beloved by tons of celebrities, including Beyonce and Rihanna. San Clemente-based brand Stance—which is already sold everything from high-end global department stores like Nordstrom to hyper-indie local boutiques like The Well—has just raised $50 million in venture capital funding, California Apparel News reports.

The firms behind this big-money deal are August Capital and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. "Jeff Kearl, Stance’s founder, said he would use the new funding to finance an expansion into new categories such as underwear and building six branded stores in the next year," CAN adds. "All of the branded stores will have a different appearance and all will serve as research centers to study which Stance products get the best reception from customers."
