Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Given that Pure Barre was the home to our very first Racked Fit Club class back in 2013, we'll always have a soft spot for the ballet-driven sculpting studio. That's why we're thrilled that PB has finally opened in Downtown, offering Eastside folks a 55-minute workout that features tough and tiny isometric movements paired with kick-ass music that keeps students pumped as they tone their arms, thighs, abs, and seat.

Located at 740 South Olive Street, DTLA blogger Brigham Yen reports that Pure Barre DTLA is 2,000-square-foot and is run by Katelin Martini, a superfan of the bustling neighborhood. "I just loved the vibe of Downtown LA so much," she tells Yen. "We wanted to open in this location because following Whole Foods is definitely a good business decision."

Pure Barre DTLA is open 6:30am to 6:30pm daily. Click here to see the class schedule and book.
