Although there's no comparison to LA's essential record shop, Amoeba Music, Hollywood's The Record Parlour is a pretty fantastic alternative. The quaint Selma Avenue store right off of Cahuenga is like "walking into a mash-up of past and present in music, all crammed into a warm and inviting small loft space, brimming with energy," Larchmont Buzz notes.
The music lover's paradise was opened a little over a year ago by Chris Honetschlaeger and Chadwick Hemus, and has since accumulated nearly 15,000 vinyl records. They also offer some pretty sweet services, including a jukebox rental for $450 (delivery included). Learn more here.
The Record Parlour is open Monday through Saturday from 10:30am to 11pm, and Sunday from 10am to 7pm.
