Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Scion knows a star when it sees one.The next talent to transform its AV gallery is hip-hop multi-hyphenate and stylish LA streetwear star Anwar Carrots (née Washington), who's dropping his new capsule collection and curating a concept exhibit at the Melrose Avenue pop-up space. Holding court tomorrow through Saturday, April 25th, the installation is dubbed "Carrot Field: Pick, Pack, and Shipped" and will showcase collabs and art by a host of Peas & Carrots pals.

"My intent with the show was to parallel farming and fashion, as they mirror each other in many respects," the designer tells us. "This is the debut of my new venture I felt that the concept displays where I am today, a small scale farmer bringing product to market."

In addition to featuring Anwar's eight-piece range of logo-happy tees, beanies, lighters, tote bags, and more ($5 to $128), the space will stock the designer's limited-edition apparel collabs with Ebbets Field, Born x Raised, Midnight Studios, and other labels ($48 to $148 and up). On the walls, expect to find art by rapper Tyler, The Creator and artists Stella Blu and SLVSTR, among others.

Dig it? The designer's throwing a party tomorrow night (7 to 10pm) to toast the shop (expect plenty of OFWGKTA appearances); get on the list here and read on below to peep more pieces from the shop.

What inspired you to partner with Scion AV for the pop-up?

For a company like Scion to approach me and allow me to use their facility as a creative outlet to operate in a retail gallery space was something I simply couldn't turn down. The fact that the space has housed brands like Hood By Air, Clot, SSUR, and Married To The Mob is such a humbling experience and a great opportunity Shout out to Scion AV!

What's the theme behind the capsule collection?

I’ve always found building collections around themes limiting. My capsule is more about presenting classic styles that build around the core branding and aesthetics of my new endeavor.

Carrot Field: Pick, Pack, and Shipped at Scion AV Gallery is open Tuesday through Sunday from 12 to 7pm.
