Back in 2012, Venice-based swimwear designer and former Sports Illustrated model Tori Praver revealed to us that she spent most of her childhood in bathing suits due to her Maui upbringing. Praver's unique beach-hopping background has helped her develop swimsuit styles that aren't just for editorial purposes (although many mags have featured her looks in seasonal spreads), but are actually functional to swim and live in. It was only a matter of time before a major retailer like Target took notice of this local talent's work.
Launched just this week, Praver's new Target collab, Tori Praver Seaform, is inspired by the designer's previous collections, but reworked into exclusive pieces. The 30-piece range features mix-and-match bikini separates and swimsuits in sun-soaked hues, unique prints, and flattering ruching—a Praver signature.
"It's a dream come true to be able to partner with Target and create this special line of swimwear," Praver tells us. "I am so thrilled to be able to share my designs with such a large audience and I am personally always so excited when Target launches designer collaborations. I felt it was a natural fit to collaborate with the leader in affordable, fun fashion. A large part of the collection is inspired by the delicate touches of the ocean. I wanted a name that represented this beauty and I felt Seafoam embodied my background spent soaking in the sun on the exquisite beaches of Hawaii."
Priced between $25 and $55, the Tori Praver Seafoam collection can be shopped online here or at select Target Hawaii locations.
