Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

If our list of LA's best home goods shops inspired you to give your drab pad a stylish makeover, here's one way to wake up your inner Kelly Wearstler. Next week, the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood is toasting its 40th birthday with Westweek, a free two-day design event open to enthusiasts and industry pros alike.

Taking place Wednesday, March 25th and Thursday, March 26th from 9am to 6pm, the creative juice-inducing fest promises nearly 100 exhibits, open house events, showcases, and talks helmed by top design talents, thinkers, editors, and leaders. Highlights include "...Or Maybe It's the Weather?", a discussion with interior decorators, artists, and sculptors on LA's design movement (Wednesday, 3pm); stylish home tour blog Domaine's Insta-happy "Selfie Soiree" and mixer (Wednesday, 2pm), and a chat with A-list decorator, designer, and Million Dollar Decorator star Mary McDonald (Thursday, 10am), among others.

Into it? Check out the full sched of happenings here; RSVP for all keynote events here.
