Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Los Feliz isn't the only nabe showcasing local talents. Taking over the address formerly occupied by Confidential nightclub is new weekly pop-up shop Underground, which is finally making the North Beverly Drive space (well, at least the basement floor) appropriate for anyone not wearing a bandage dress or Drakkar Noir.
Open every Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 6pm, the space offers a rotating roster of local designers, jewelers, makers, makeup artists, manicurists, and more LA talents. For those in need of liquid fuel, a full bar will also be serving cocktails; should you require some bass in your retail therapy, a DJ will also be in the house.
Dig it? Last week's vendors included Vegas-based boho e-shop Nik Dreamer, beauty pop-up The Gypsy Bazaar, jewelry label Serene Sky, succulent arrangements creator Sticks N Stones, and others; see event organizer Fabric Fashion Show's Instagram for a peek at each week's participants.
