LAX Launches Cute Campaign to Promote $8.5 Billion Facelift

To keep travelers and up to date with LAX's many enhancements as part of its ongoing $8.5 billion LAX Modernization Program, Los Angeles World Airports has unveiled a new campaign that features four cheeky animated videos. "Your Layover is Getting a Makeover" highlights the overall upgrade, "Shop 'Til You Depart" offers a glimpse at new retail options, "Airport Traffic Can Be a Pain in the Asphalt" (heh) points travelers to traffic tips and shortcuts, and "Loungier Lounges" needs no explanation.

The campaign also promotes LAX is Happening, a community-focused website that hosts real-time LAX vehicle traffic conditions and pedestrian walking maps. It will also feature a play-by-play of all of LAX's upcoming improvements, which include: a secured T4 Connector between Terminal 4 and the new $1.9 billion Tom Bradley International Terminal, renovations of Terminals 1 and 5, new inline baggage-handling and screening systems, new escalators, elevators and moving walkways, and more electrical charging stations (YES).
