Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

As predicted, the just-opened, totally restored Hollyhock House at Barnsdall Art Park is a wedding proposal wonderland, thanks to the hard work put in by the landmark's curator Jeffrey Herr, Hsiao-Ling Ting of the city's Bureau of Engineering, and Kevin Jew of the nonprofit Project Restore, which wrote the grant for the project. Our sister site Curbed LA offers a full tour of the highly-anticipated makeover, breaking down its exact features from the upgraded Modernist entryway to a "showstopping hearth backed in an abstract, Hollyhock-themed bas relief, with a detailed skylight above and a pool below."

Experience the House here and start dropping those gentle pop-the-question hints.
