Pink Ladies, Marty McFly: Retro Style Inspo from Fake Prom's Flashback Dance Party

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Great Scott: partygoers at last weekend's Fake Prom were totally serious about their throwback fashion game. The 1950s-via-Back to the Future-themed retro rager went down on Valentine's Day at the Unique Space in Downtown, where ready-to-mingle singles, cute couples, and confident solo players relived the classic dance party, only with way more booze. As if the stylish soiree couldn't get any sweeter (Bon Puf's organic cotton candy was a big hit), the entire dance floor even witnessed a real-life proposal. (Yup, she said "yes!")

Although Doc Brown was noticeably missing from the party, there were more than a few Marty McFlys in attendance, prompting us to wonder how they managed to twin it in the space-time continuum or whatever. See what else everyone wore (Light-up kicks! Pretty pink dresses! Greasers!) in the gallery above.
