ATWATER VILLAGE—One peek at local floral designer Yasmine Mei's Instagram feed and it will come as no surprise that the girl has nearly 62,000 followers. Her ethereal designs—which have been known to incorporate elements like fruit, pinecones, and even cabbage or mushrooms—take on a beauty that feels inspired by the Baroque period. The SoCal local, who admits to geeking out on nature, is surely relishing her pop up at Individual Medley (3176 Glendale Boulevard) this Saturday, which takes on a California theme. The 12-5pm event offers holiday wreaths and wraps for purchase and you can order one in advance by calling 323-240-8140—which we advise, seeing as though Sunday's pop-up has already sold out.
ATWATER VILLAGE—There's no shortage of cute, cozy sweaters inside recently-opened womenswear boutique Common (3229 Glendale Boulevard)—which we've already gushed about—and Thursday night offers the perfect opportunity to grab a few for 15% off. The Atwater Village newbie is celebrating the neighborhood's annual tree lighting from 5-8pm with store-wide discounts, cider, and treats with a perfect view of the dazzling Christmas tree.
VENICE—We've already shared the good news that Cuyana's Venice pop-up (1140 Abbot Kinney Boulevard) is here to stay—yay! Now the luxe (for less) accessories brand is celebrating their permanent status in the hood with the a special event this Friday. Their inaugural "First Friday"—a shopping soiree that will repeat the first Friday of each month—takes place from 7-9pm and includes sips, snacks, and gifts with purchase. RVSP here to join.
