LZZR and Tie the Knot's Cool Keychain Helps Fight For LGBTQ Equality

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

We've already praised Lizz Roberts' jewelry brand LZZR as a line we love for its bold geometric designs as well as its use of recycled metals. And now the company-with-a-conscious is teaming up with LGBTQ-benefiting bow tie brand Tie the Knot for their second collab to offer aid to the community.

Last year LZZR first time teamed up with actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson's stylish neckwear line to create a bronze bow tie necklace, and this time they've abstracted the motif slightly and designed a keychain that's androgynous, functional, and has all the coolness we've come to expect from the jewelry brand. Each of the pieces are handmade in downtown Los Angeles with repurposed bronze and copper scraps, which means in addition to helping Tie the Knot fight for LGBTQ rights—currently healthcare, housing, and workplace equality among the main issues—buyers will be supporting a brand that actively works to reduce their ecological footprint.

The keychain is currently available online via LRRZ's site. 100% of its $45 price tag will go to Tie the Knot, which makes this an ideal present for those of us looking to give back as we gift this holiday season.
