Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
HIGHLAND PARK—Just when we thought we couldn't find another reason to head to HP's sweet vintage shop Weepah Way (5151 York Boulevard)—which already has us visiting regularly for the constant supply of 501's, kimonos, and snuggly sweaters—the store's owner Constance Baker has once again partnered up with local label Junim LA for a pop-up this Tuesday through Thursday. Previously the boutique featured a selection of the modern boho brand's signature hand-dyed dresses, but in honor of upcoming NYE, it will be showcasing Junim's latest crop of sparkly, party-ready minis, maxis, and rompers for all your holiday dressing needs. Pick out the perfect look to ring in the new year—and accessorize with Weepah's curated inventory—from 12-7pm Tuesday and Wednesday and 11am-6pm Thursday.
ECHO PARK—Treat yo self? Well don't mind if we do! You've been generous this season, mindfully picking the perfect gifts for your motley crew of recipients. If all you got in return are some so not you socks and a dollar store candle, then we give you full permission to splurge on yourself during Myrtle's (2313 Sunset Boulevard) annual Treat Yo Self Sale. Enjoy a 20% storewide discount from 11am-7pm Tuesday, or use code "donna" for online purchases through Tuesday. The Charlotte Stone and Samantha Pleet selections in the shop are too cute to pass up at those prices.
