Shag's Swanky Mad Men Art and More Arrives on Melrose Avenue

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Calling all modern Don and Megan Drapers: the booze-fueled festivities need not end in the world of Shag, the Mod-obsessed artist known for his swanky party scenes and hyper-saturated palettes. Last month, the OC-based talent (aka Josh Agle) soft-opened his second art gallery and boutique on Melrose Avenue, just around the corner from another inspiring home decor haven.

On top of showcasing Shag's cast of mid-century modern partygoers and tiki characters in prints, illustrations, and books, the store offers the artist's newest work, "995 Skyline Drive", alongside exclusive throw pillows, ottomans, glassware sets, and more retro-kitsch home goods and decor (which also happen to make excellent gifts for your vintage-obsessed pals). Explore the colorful shop in the gallery above and swing from 10am to 6pm daily.
