The Arts District's already flowing with options for coffee connoisseurs, but the Wheelhouse is putting a new spin on the old café concept. As our sister site Eater mentioned back in September, the cool bicycle boutique/java haunt is rolling into Downtown, and we're told it's set to open in January.
Bargain hunters at Matteo Home's bedding blowout have already gotten a peek of the bike shop, which is popping up at the textile brand's sale through this Wednesday. Stylish pedalers can expect to shop vintage-inspired bikes by Heritage, luxe leather saddle bags by Sackville, backpacks and pouches by Topo Designs, gear and accessories by Yakkay and Bern, and more; on the coffee front, it'll exclusively serve bike-minded bean brand Olympia out of Washington. The 3,700-square foot space will also serve as a community center and house a tune-up space on the second floor.
