The Dreslyn Named First E-Tailer to Carry LA's Coolest New Accessories Line

Modern Weaving

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Given that The Dreslyn is a digital capsule of cool, it's no surprise that cult-favorite designers in-the-making want to join the e-commerce platform's impressive roster. Dreslyn founder Brooke Taylor Corcia also has a fantastic eye for spotting new talent, which is why the exclusive launch of Modern Weaving's first season on the site makes so much sense.

Set to release on TheDreslyn.com tomorrow morning, Modern Weaving designer Tiffani Williams's debut bag collection (a modern take on ancient basketry) and jewelry "potter-crafted Nara porcelain with textural finishes, raw brass and solid sterling silver compliments") will be made exclusive to Dreslyn shoppers for four weeks. After that, MW will be accessible to other retailers.

"We are elated to be included in The Dresyln's outstanding roster of hand selected and talented designers," Williams explains. "Brooke's support of local artists and makers alongside veteran visionaries in the industry is refreshing. We are beyond joyed to launch Modern Weaving's inaugural collection with The Dreslyn and look forward to forging a long partnership."

Modern Weaving's prices range from $100 for its "Dome" earrings to $600 for it's laser-cut oversize carryall, pictured above.
