Anyone who has spent enough time in LA knows that it's nearly impossible to make any same-day Westside plans once you're in Downtown. If you're damn tired of praying to the traffic gods every time you attempt to make this difficult trek, here's some fantastic news: a Metro Expo Line from DTLA to Santa Monica may be unveiled in the spring.
LAist reports that Expo Construction Authority is expected to hand the project to Metro next week, and they'll start "pre-revenue testing, which means running the train regularly as if it were operational, but which no people on board. This is the final phase of testing before the train opens to the public, which the report states could be as soon as late April or early May."
Fingers cross that Metro follows through with this project, because starting our day at Acne Studios and ending it Malin + Goetz sounds pretty perfect to us.
