Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

BEVERLY GROVEEric Buterbaugh's beautiful floral boutique and gallery (8271 Beverly Boulevard) unveils yet another stunning collection of work to compliment his celeb-approved arrangements and fragrance collection. This time, the chic gallery space welcomes Lekha Singh, who trades her usual street style photography for a meditative study of wild plantlife. Her collection, "Weeds", opens Thursday with a 6-9pm reception that promises to draw a few A-list guests. Attendees are asked to RSVP to ebflorals@hlgrp.com.

CANOGA PARKThe Independent Shakespeare Company has been performing creative interpretations of Charles Dickens' classic A Christmas Carol (the theater company's version is rather of the novelist reading his own text) for ten years. What has now becoming a local holiday tradition will make its way to The Village at Westfield Topanga (6600 Topanga Canyon Boulevard)—in addition to its usual run at their Atwater Village studio (3191 Casitas Avenue, #168)—for a limited run which kicks of this Thursday. The practically one-man-show starring ISCLA's co-founder David Melville starts at 7pm both Thursday and Friday and will also be performed at the shopping center Saturday and Sunday at 6pm. Bring the family by for some special seasonal entertainment while you get your gift shopping underway.

EL SEGUNDO—It seems like every week South Bay shopping mecca The Point (840 S Sepulveda Boulevard) opens yet another store we can't wait to shop. This week it's bohemian womenswear go-to Planet Blue, which is set to carry So Cal beach babes' fave brands including For Love and Lemons and Vanessa Mooney. Thursday's 6-9pm grand opening festivities includes snacks and cocktails, music, raffle prizes, and an extra special gift to the first 50 customers. Be sure to RSVP on the shop's Facebook page here.
