A few months ago, we revealed that America's first transgender modeling agency was set to open right here in LA. Just when Thailand-based Apple Model Management was ready to unveil its West Coast roster, a devastating bombing occurred back home that required immediate attention. Transgender advocate and What's the T? director Cecilio Asuncion has now rescued the project and opened the agency under a new name: Slay Model Management.

"We believe one's gender identity should not be a hindrance to one's fashion dreams," says Asuncion. "It's time the world recognizes the amazing talent the trans community has to offer."

Headquartered in Downtown LA, the exclusively transgender agency is already receiving buzz for its talent roster, which includes Arisce who recently appeared in Vogue Germany.

There's also Alex, the youngest trans girl on the board at just 12 years old. "Her mother says she signed her daughter with Slay because she's more comfortable with her daughter's participation in the fashion industry being represented by an exclusively trans agency," the agency tells us. See another image of Alex below and keep an eye on this rising star.
