Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
If your holiday dress hunt involves LA's stellar retro scene, know that your route will be missing a treasure-filled stop. After opening its first brick-and-mortar last year, designer vintage haven Bustown Modern has shutteres on Melrose Avenue.
The space is being taken over bespoke menswear designer Denis Frison, who's slated to open in March 2016. No word yet on whether Bustown is relocating; its online shop, however, is thankfully still open.
