Now that the paint's officially dry at El Segundo's The Point, the stylish South Bay megadevelopment is rolling out the rest of its directory. The outdoor lifestyle center debuted this summer with a handful of shops, including Athleta, Lou and Grey, Lucky Brand, Michael Stars, SoulCycle, and more.
Although the next wave of boutiques were slated to open sooner, we're told that Prana's sustainable sweat gear officially arrives this Friday (it soft-opened last week), boho retailer Planet Blue opens next Monday, Kit and Ace's third LA shop has been "pushed back slightly" but is expected to debut early December, and swimwear retailer San Lorenzo Bikinis is still awaiting its opening date. Since The Point's July arrival, pampering haven Vicara Aveda Salon and Spa has opened its doors, and the center has six more available spaces for potential retailers.
Of course, there'll be a host of grand opening festivities to welcome the new additions. Today from 7 to 9pm, toast Madewell's boutique with Honesty WTF's Lauren Kolodny and gratis sips, bites, and a free tote with purchase; get on the list by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Then on Saturday, Prana is hosting a free yoga class with pro yogi and brand ambassador Amy Ippoliti from 8 to 9am, followed by free post-workout drinks and snacks from 9 to 11am. Shoppers also score a free gift with purchase and a chance to win free workout apparel as part of Prana's social media contest.
In December, Planet Blue and Kit and Ace are also expected to throw stylish opening bashes; more deets to come on those.
Update 11/18, 3pm: Per the shopping center, opening date details regarding San Lorenzo Bikinis and Prana have changed.
