CULVER CITY—Made-to-order menswear brand Articles of Style's Director of Operations, Will Howe just happens to be a Ford model. But Will's been more than just a pretty face for the company; after years of doing advertising and business strategizing for Google (ever heard of 'em?), he's been clutch in transforming AOS from fashion blog to full-fledged digital clothing retailer. This Wednesday the business-savvy babe launches his latest bespoke line with the brand with a soiree at Blind Barber (10797 Washington Boulevard). In addition to getting to view the collection, guests will mingle with cocktails provided by I.W. Harper bourbon during the 7-10pm event.
HOLLYWOOD—Kanye West's regular pearls of wisdom (aka rants) are constant source of eye-rolling entertainment, which is probably why some of his best "affirmations" have been illustrated—along with more fun quotes from celebs like Frida Kahlo and Kevin Smith—in a new coloring book for grown-ups, Hey Great Job. To celebrate the official release of this hilarious, interactive zine (which is available for purchase for just $5 here), the Wednesday night launch party at LA Mother (1627 N Gower Street) will offer a giant version for guests to fill in with eco-friendly crayons from Wee Can Too Art while they simultaneously groove to live tunes from DJ QwessCoast, enjoy drinks from the open bar, and snack from tasty food truck offerings. The 7:30pm bash is free to attend, but prospective attendees ought to RSVP here if they want to score one of a limited number of cool Kanye pins.
