Lingerie brand Empowered By You wants to inspire confidence in a few ways: by offering sweet, seamless thongs and briefs and by giving 20% of proceeds to low-income women entering the business world. Now Rebecca Minkoff is teaming up with the charitable company to launch a capsule collection of underthings with the designer's holiday prints. This Thursday head to the tech-savvy boutique (8335 Melrose Avenue) for the launch of the line from 6-8pm and scoop up 3-pair packs—perfect for your girlie holiday gift swaps. WEST HOLLYWOOD—The Lab Arts Collective is releasing a brand new issue of their artsy biannual print mag, and considering "Desire" is the theme, the Lab gang has wisely chosen the destination for Thursday's launch. The sexy Standard Hollywood hotel (8300 Sunset Boulevard) hosts the 7-9pm celebratory event at which Kristen Ellison and Alan Selka will present readings and Lola Rose Thompson, Caroline Jones, and Cathy Weiss (of whom contributed to the current issue) exhibit artwork.
