Dope Women's Collection Debut on Fairfax; MAC Opening at The Americana; More!

FAIRFAX—DOPE clothing brand has been serving guys their signature street style for a while now—which is cool, but we're over here like, "Where's the lady love?" Well finally us girls will be able to wear a line by the label all our own. You can shop the celeb-loved brand's hot new pieces (think cropped sweatshirts and shrunken sporty jackets emblazoned with lettering) online or in their expertly designed flagship store (454 N Fairfax Avenue) starting Friday, but the official debut takes place Thursday from 8-11pm, when the shop hosts a bash complete with music by Tamara Sky, sips and snacks, and some not-to-be-missed prizes. GLENDALE—This Friday The Americana at Brand (889 Americana Way) is giving us yet another reason to head to the upscale shopping center when mega makeup brand MAC opens their latest location. In the bold, brazen style for which it has become notorious, the cosmetics company celebrates its newest spot with festivities including live body painting, DJ-spun tunes, cool giveaways, and general eye candy abound. DTLA—Now that LA Fashion Week is in full swing, tomorrow's your chance to catch Nordic label Barbara I Gongini's edgy-cool collab with LA's own The Well (1006 S. Olive St.). Thursday from 7p to 1am, the essential shop/salon is hosting a launch reception and after-party for the capsule collection, complete with live performances from Sun Drug, Thrillers, and Family Band.
