LA's super-hot home decor scene just keeps getting better. Eliminating the hassle of bringing home bulky furniture items, online lifestyle boutique Serena and Lily is unleashing its easy e-tail therapy experience IRL with its first LA Design shop.
Slated to open its doors tomorrow in Yeesuz's former pop-up space (apparently, it came with a baller sound system), the 2,200-square-foot showroom houses its entire collection of textiles, plus a selection of seating, rugs, side tables, lighting, wallpaper, and more home furnishings specially curated for LA. Except for the store's rotating art wall—which will feature work by Cali artists—merch can't be taken home on the spot, but clients can shop Serena and Lily's full ready-made and custom online inventory and receive their goods as early as in two days. (Sadly, the space's massive statement paintings by fine artist and co-founder Serena Dugan are not for sale.)
In addition, the retailer's in-house (and complimentary) design experts will help shoppers create their dream home from the ceiling to the floor; the space is also open to pro interior designers and their clients. That's not all: the shop also plans on hosting in-store events, like workshops and group shopping parties.
Rather than landing in interior decor hot spots like La Cienega or the heart of WeHo's Design District, the e-tailer tells us it selected this side of Melrose Avenue for its plentiful parking and low-key vibes. (We're down for that.) Plus, we're told that Serena and Lily will soon be heading to buzzy oceanfront development Lido Marina Village, where its offerings will include swanky outdoor furniture and decor. Exciting!
Serena and Lily will be open Monday through Saturday from 10 to 6pm, Sunday from 12 to 5pm, and by appointment after-hours.
