Inside Current/Elliott's First-Ever Denim Boutique on Abbot Kinney

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

As mentioned, Current/Elliott made its brick-and-mortar debut on (where else?) buzzing Abbot Kinney. Open as of this Monday, the above photos reveal that the heritage-inspired denim brand's first-ever shop fits in quite nicely with the rest of America's coolest shopping block.

Landing next door to Kit and Ace on the plot that once housed Jack Spade, the 1,500-square-foot boutique's interiors blend the brand's vintage-inspired aesthetic with Venice's coastal vibes. Design elements include teak and glass sliding doors, brass and maple fixtures, white oak flooring, and more. As far as what's on the racks, expect to find Current/Elliott's fall/winter range of denim, apparel, and accessories.

Current/Elliott is open daily from 11am to 7pm.
