Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

ECHO PARK—With a resume that includes experience at TSE and Calvin Klein, designer Pari Desai now boasts her very own collection chock full of cool, minimal knits. Just in time for crisper weather (finally!), the Los Angeles-based Desai brings some of her Fall 2015 pieces to designer vintage boutique Collection (1282 W Sunset Boulevard) for a weekend-long autumnal shopping soiree—complete with fall cocktails! Shop the sleek garments and hang with the designer herself during store hours of 12-6pm Saturday and 12-5pm Sunday.

ATWATER—A few of our favorite local labels are getting together for an epic sample sale this Saturday. Lust-worthy knitwear brand knitwear KKIBO, eco-friendly lingerie line Botanica Workshop, and kids clothing company Peas and Queues (plus more!) will have pieces up for grabs starting as low as just $5. The savings-heavy shopping event takes place at the Atwater Crossing arts complex (3191 Casitas Avenue) in Suite 156. Sale hours last from 9am-2pm, but we suggest getting in early to get the best selection of goods.

KOREATOWN—If you had to miss our recent Racked Fit Club with One Down Dog at The Line Hotel (3515 Wilshire Boulevard)—or if you went and you couldn't wait for more—Pointe Studio is teaming up with the yoga studio to do it again. For the latest of the grip-sock line's #SanityNotVanity series, they'll be heading to the pool deck of the Staycation fave this Saturday morning for an hour-long session of cobras, tree poses, and the like starting at 9:30am. Manduka has also donated a few mats to be raffled off and Juice Served Here will be providing liquid refreshments. Though the event has limited space available, Pointe Studio has saved a few select spots for Racked readers—email allie@pointe-studio.comto try and snag one!

KOREATOWN—Also at The Line Hotel (3515 Wilshire Boulevard) this Saturday, learn the art of basket weaving from designer/stylist Nanette Sullano. The 10:30am-4:30pm workshop is part of a series courtesy of Poketo, whose cool gift shop in the lobby regularly offers locally made goods. The $200 fee for the class includes everything you need to create your own pine needle basket (foraged and sustainably grown materials), as well as snacks, lunch, and beverages. Grab your ticket for the creative course here.

VENICE—The vintage vendors within Venice's The Mart Collective (1600 Lincoln Boulevard) will be ready for all your throwback Halloween costume needs (sexy Victorian perhaps?) all weekend long when a majority of the space's 87 dealers offer a 20% discount on their inventory. Even if you're not shopping for the upcoming holiday, stop by this impressive warehouse full of mid-century goodies for your home, art, and of course vintage designer clothing. The sale lasts from Friday through Sunday; hours are 10am-6pm Friday and Saturday and 11am-5pm Sunday.

SANTA MONICA—Full disclosure: we're full-on Francophiles over here, which is why we cannot wait to get our hands on Bright Lights Paris, the new book by La Vie Ann Rose writer Angie Niles. The text provides all the tips we've been begging for to dress, dine, and generally live like a chic Parisian woman. Meet and greet Niles herself during a book signing this Sunday at Barnes & Noble in the Promenade (1201 3rd Street) at 3pm. The author will be joined by actress Arielle Kebbel and the two will also offer attendees a live discussion of some highlights gleaned from their recent trip to the City of Lights.
