Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Solidifying itself as a diehard shopper's paradise (recent openings include a massive Nike flagship, a gorgeous Sephora shop, and a charming Honest Beauty pop-up), The Grove has just landed the tenant that all California-cool teens have been waiting for: Brandy Melville.
Beloved by everyone from Taylor Swift to Kylie Jenner, the retailer was founded in Italy 20 years and opened its first store in Westwood in 2009, quickly garnering a crazy cult following despite its rather secretive formula for success. (Although they're huge on Instagram, discovering a rare Brandy Melville advertisement is like spotting a unicorn.)
Back to The Grove. Taking over Unionmade's former digs across from Umami Burger, Brandy Melville is set to open this November and will offer all of its iconic crop tops, cutoffs, bralettes, super-soft tees, cozy knits, and much more. Catch a teaser below; we'll keep you posted on progress!
