WEST HOLLYWOOD—If you're looking for a seriously statement-making gown for your upcoming nuptials (what bride isn't?!), JLM Couture's flagship salon (352 N Robertson Boulevard) might be the shopping destination you've been searching for during their three-day trunk show that showcases stunning wedding dress designer Hayley Paige. While staying fashion-forward, the label creates styles that are also classically romantic. Paige herself will head to the bridal boutique this Friday through Sunday for the shopping event, which features her Spring 2016 collection. Hours for the trunk show are as follows: Friday 11:00am-6:00pm, Saturday 10:00am-6:00pm, and Sunday 10:00am-5:00pm. Make an appointment to check out the dreamy dresses by calling 424-249-3909 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
BRENTWOOD—The ultra-cool sunglasses by French designer Thierry Lasry are literal eye candy. Now you can check out the latest looks by the self-described "futuristic vintage" brand when impeccably curated eyewear retailer Alexander Gray (previously Fred Segal Eyes) hosts a preview at its new Brentwood location (110 Barrington Walk) this Thursday. Customers can view and pre-order pieces from the upcoming Fall 2015 collection—previously only seen by anyone other than bloggers and buyers—between 10am and 9pm. Once ordered, the styles will ship between mid-November and December. Call the store at 310-394-1875 or shoot an email to email@example.com to set up your personal viewing session.
ARTS DISTRICT—Apolis' DTLA outpost (806 E 3rd Street) is more than just a cool men's clothing boutique. This flagship store also holds Common Gallery, a space that regularly hosts cultural events. The latest of these, which takes place this Thursday from 7-9pm, is part of the location's speaking series. "Innovation & Community" presents a live discussion between Flextronics' Michael Mendenhall and Media Arts Lab's James Vincent and is moderated by Brent Bushnell. The event—sponsored in part by Chivas—features complimentary cocktails by Pharmacie LA so quest can enjoy a stiff drink while keeping up with the lively conversation on how innovation can effect communities. Space is limited so make sure to RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
