Theory is hanging up the sweat-drenched towel on Theory+, its edgy activewear brand that took over Helmut Lang's former space on Melrose earlier this spring.
Staff at the NYC-based label's flagship a few doors down confirms that the store has shuttered for good, and that Theory was using the space as a pop-up to test the workoutwear waters. We're also told that the brand—which shares a parent company with soon-to-reopen Helmut Lang—is "not moving forward" with its health goth-esque spinoff but will continue to offer athletic apparel under its main line.
