Wal and Pai, Modern Weaving, More: 12 Cool LA-Made Finds From DTLA's Coeur and D&A Shows

  • We're already a fan of Tylynn Nguyen's minimalist lookbooks, and seeing her effortless spring 2016 intimates range made us fall even harder in love.
  • Former New Yorker/recent LA transplant Andy Lifschutz's luxe wax-casted accoutrements belong in our edgy jewelry collection now.

  • It's easy to see why new LA footwear brand Wal and Pai was declared one of this year's Young Guns: founders Hsuan Pai and Harel Waldman's edgy-luxe shoes instantly elevate any look.
  • Another jewelry fave at Coeur was Bagtazo, which charmed us with its geometric textured accessories and hats decked out with dainty chains as drawstrings.

  • Our nature-loving noses were pleased by Glassell Park-based perfumer Dasein's earthy scents inspired by the seasons.
  • Bag ladies and artsy accoutrement aficionados will love new LA line Modern Weaving's mixed-material jewelry and cut-out leather carryalls.
  • Fashion PR powerhouse Adam Drawas is stepping into the other side of the scene with his luxe sneaker line, Crucial. As you can see, the line of women's and men's slip-ons, boots, and more in textured fabrics and pastel leathers speak for themselves.
  • Cool-kid DTLA boutique and salon The Well is already a fan of Youth to the People's just-launched line of cruelty-free, superfood-infused anti-aging products.
  • Locally-based accessories label Led to Believe just debuted this fall, and its next collection of globally-inspired carryalls make us want to fast-forward to spring.
  • Although Sirciam is no newbie to LA's gem scene, we were delighted to finally stumble upon the husband-and-wife-designed brand's raw and refined gems.
  • At Designers & Agents, Santa Monica-based Capsule Parfumerie's "disheveled" floral-infused line Musc et Madame had us daydreaming of a romantic Parisian getaway.
  • Another LA-bred find at D&A was Art Dept., a contemporary-cool line of modern and minimalist silhouettes.

It's been a while since our last check-in to Coeur, a bi-annual trade show in DTLA highlighting unique apparel jewelry, footwear, and accessories from both rising and established designers. The three-day event relocated from the Cooper Design Space to the Alexandria Ballrooms, where we discovered dozens of inspiring booths from local and global talents.

We also made a pit stop at Designers & Agents, which took over the New Mart's third floor. Both events showcased an incredible mix of cool finds ready to hit the spring market, so we narrowed down our favorites from homegrown brands.
