ARTS DISTRICT—Surf superstar Kelly Slater's sustainable menswear line Outerknown is making its retail debut right here in Los Angeles at cool, curated shop Wittmore (300 S Santa Fe Avenue). The brand's pop-up takes over the space starting this Thursday with a 6-8pm celebration that includes found object art from legendary waterman Mark Cunningham. Come christen the new space, admire the collection (which will be on display through mid-November), and even toss back a few cocktails at the event.

FASHION DISTRICT—Some of our favorite local designers are joining forces for a pop-up preview of their Spring 2016 collections. Chic footwear line The Palatines, luxe, utilitarian bag brand Vere Verto, and contemporary clothing company Desireeklein (with a few more friends) will be offering sneak peeks and cocktails to attendees of the 6-9pm event Thursday at Egg Studio inside BOLD (958 S Broadway Street). Guests are asked to RSVP to elsi@eggstudio.co.
