The swanky 8600 block of Melrose Avenue (between San Vicente Boulevard and Norwich Drive) hopes to remind you of more innocent times this Thursday as the West Hollywood Design District microneighborhood offers a "Channel Your Inner Child" block party. The Traditional Home-sponsored event, which takes place from 6 to 9pm, will feature art, activities, and refreshments aimed to spark nostalgia for those in attendance.
Participating businesses including fashion powerhouse Balenciaga (8670 Melrose Ave.), stunning design store Robert Kuo (8686 Melrose Ave.), and Pop Art gallery Hamilton-Selway Fine Art (8678 Melrose Ave.) will offer festivities like a Funny Zoo installation, chalk art by Lesley Perdomo, and body painting by Tribal Body Markers. Additionally, guests can enjoy classic food truck fare from SoCal favorite In-N-Out and grown-up cocktails with a childhood twist courtesy of Tito's Handmade Vodka and Lucky Buddha Beer.
The art-centric event will be highlighted by a charity raffle benefiting Inner City Arts and will boast prizes from local businesses and a coveted original print from renowned graffiti artist RISK. An RSVP is required for attendance; make yours by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. For a full list of participants, visit the event site here.
