Home decorists with 405phobia (we think that's a thing?), rejoice. Come this winter, Downtown dwellers won't have to trek west for HD Buttercup's modern and retro furnishings, as the cool retailer tells us it's opening a DTLA flagship store.
Slated to open in December, the 30,000-square-foot furniture and decor mecca (its third SoCal outpost, not counting that Santa Monica pop-up) will also house an art gallery on the second floor and HD Buttercup's new HQ on the third floor. The dreamy space's interiors will be a design collaboration between Venice-based Paola Tessara and Hong Kong's Sean Dix; the retailer also tells us the shop will also feature an art installation by Berlin's Michael Fuchs Galerie.
As far as merch, we're told the DTLA outpost will exclusively stock merch from Italian brands, including seating by Saba, furnishings by Lema, lighting by Joe Cariati, textiles by Louise Gray, and more. No word yet on the exact coordinates and opening date; stay tuned!
