Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Have you ever dreamed of cycling up a steep Alaskan glacier or dashing through the Tour de France? Well now LA fitness fiends can do just that without ever leaving the city. Joining the roster of wild LA workouts is the first-ever Immersive Fitness indoor cycling studio nestled inside the 24 Hour Fitness Super Sport Club in Santa Monica.
Created in partnership with Les Mills, Immersive Fitness's intense 35-minute cycling class, dubbed "The Trip," is a next-level workout experience that features high-energy music and visual graphics projected on a massive screen that together make riders feel like they really are riding through a space-age city, racing around a velodrome, and cruising into the sunset. Welcome to the future.
Adventure seekers (24 Hour Fitness members and non-members) can book a seat in the crazy-cool class right here.
