Mall mainstay Wet Seal may be shuttering over half of its stores, but apparently not all Southern California shoppers are avoiding those "horrendous" indoor retail centers. Staff at the ailing OC-based teen retailer's locations at the Northridge Fashion Center, Citadel Outlets, Torrance's Del Amo Fashion Center, Lakewood, and Brea Mall confirm their stores will remain open, but a few other LA and Orange County outposts weren't spared the ax.
We're told the stores at Arcadia's Westfield Santa Anita and South Gate's Azalea Shopping Center have already shuttered, and San Bernardino-area closures include Montclair Plaza and the Chino Spectrum Town Centre. No word yet on the status of the rest of Wet Seal's Cali stores; whatever the case, we're guessing the cut may not have been a swift and clean one.
