As seen here, LA fitness fiends have no shortage of inventive calorie-burning options that go above and beyond the barre. If your new you resolutions involve adding more color and creativity to your weekly workouts and you're determined not to join the masses who inevitably ditch their gym membership next month, there are a slew of additions to our city's sweat-obsessed scene to keep you on track.

From Orangetheory's stat-tracking classes to Vixen Workout's club-like dance party to AIR's gravity-defying yoga seshes, we've rounded up seven unique and non-boring workouts for burning max calories.

AIR Aerial Fitness (8474 West 3rd Street): Make some mid-air moves on AIR's silk aerial hammocks on West Third Street, where the Chicago-based fitness studio opened its first LA location. The 50-minute workout fuses barre, yoga, and Pilates for maximum strengthening and lengthening; classes are $30 per sesh or $150 per month for unlimited visits.

Orangetheory Fitness (11661 San Vicente Boulevard): Competition-seeking fitness fiends can beat their best numbers at this Brentwood studio, which offers 500- to 1,000 calorie-crushing interval workouts in a group setting. A scoreboard tracks each student's stats during the hour-long class, which incorporates WaterRower machines, TRX, treadmills, and medicine balls. The members-only studio offers one free class to newbies; there are no initiation fees and membership levels vary; classes typically land between the $12 to $15 range.

Vixen Workout at Basement Dance Center (5259 Lankershim Boulevard): Dance like you're at the club sans the hovering douchebags at former Miami Heat dancer Janet Jones's ladies-only #vixenarmy sweat party. New York and Miami's favorite "safe twerk zone" finally arrived in LA last year, bringing moves like the "twerkalator" and the "milkshake" to North Hollywood's Basement Dance Center. Classes are $15 or $130 for package of 10; check here for upcoming dates and times.

Allure Dance & Fitness Studio (5996 W Pico Blvd): Rihanna's favorite pole dancer Nicole "The Pole" Williams helms this Mid-City sweat sanctuary, which boasts a menu of sexy and empowering workouts that encourage students of all sizes to "let their inner sex kitten come out." Pole dancing, burlesque, exotic dancing, stiletto pulse, booty werk classes are just a few options ($15 to $25 per class; packages available) and while stripper heels are optional, they are definitely encouraged—you can even buy your own pair on site.

Hot Pilates (8604A Sunset Blvd): If your Pilates routine could be turned up a notch, LA's newest hot workout studio will give you a warm welcome. As we discovered, this detoxifying sweat sesh will get you toned while raising the temps, resulting in a core-tightening, leg-lengthening workout.

Best U Studio (931 N Fairfax Avenue): It's literally all about U at this West Hollywood studio founded by General Hospital star Kodi Kitchen. The one-hour circuit class utilizes U-shaped weight bars and combines Pilates, dance, and barre for a total muscle-sculpting sweat session. Classes are $20 or $185 per month for unlimited classes.

Piloxing Academy (2220 W. Magnolia Boulevard): Throw your best punch at this Pilates and boxing cardio fusion class, which works in dance moves and builds stamina, speed, and muscle. Single classes are $16, a series of 10 is $150, and a 20-class package is $280.
