Although the Golden State's perpetually perfect temps are enough motivation to rise and shine every morning, there are days when we all just wanna stay wrapped in our bedsheets. (Monday, anyone?) To coax us out from under our covers, charming LA bedding line Cloud Hunter has just dreamed up sexy new boudoir wear that can be worn past the front door.

Aptly titled Langoureux, local designer Megan Pearl's new California-inspired lingerie line could dress the lovechild of French bombshell Brigitte Bardot and Italian street style sensation Anna Dello Russo (both serve as inspirations behind the line). Comprised of slinky silk tops, swingy fringe kimonos, lacy bralettes, and more ($66 to $295), the handmade-in-LA label's very Valentine's Day-ready pieces have already adorned blogstar BFF/rising singer/fashion royalty Caroline Vreeland. Up ahead, see more whimsical lookbook shots and read more about the on-the-rise lifestyle brand and its designer.

What's your background, and what inspired you to start a bedding line?
After double-majoring in visual design and apparel manufacturing at college, I worked with some of LA's best wardrobe stylists. After a handful of years I quickly realized the need for personal style to live not only in our closets but extend through into our homes. I believe your bed and home should be as well-dressed as you! Living in a city where, culturally, many more people see your handbag than your home, I felt the obliged to revive the pride and individuality inherent to one's sanctuary. I was constantly searching, but couldn't find anything unique enough for my own space. That's when I decided to create my first collection of duvet covers, pillow shams, and throw pillows.

What prompted you to add lingerie into the mix?
I've always envisioned Cloud Hunter to blossom into a California-made lifestyle brand with many different products. After two bedding collections and two years of custom linens, I thought it appropriate to include lingerie as a next step.

What's the inspiration behind your designs?
Cloud Hunter's main inspiration is California! Every piece from Cloud Hunter's debut lingerie and loungewear collection is designed with the ability to wear at home, or out and about. Nothing says California chic more than something that's couch and café appropriate. I always describe both my collection and LA as 'playfully chic.'

Who's your ultimate design muse?
Anna Dello Russo is very inspiring to me as you can see from our latest lookbook! I recreated her watermelon and cherry headdresses for our shoot. For me, Anna has mastered a perfect mix of femininity and fun.

Where are a few of your favorite places to relax in LA?
Any and every meal of the day at Redhill, the pool and pina coladas at the Ace Hotel downtown, the michelada popsicles at Diablos, my bed during a rare rainy day, and Silver Lake dog park!
