Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Timbuk2 isn't the only San Francisco-based brand bringing its biker-friendly bags and more to LA. Mission Workshop's American-made carryalls have landed on Silver Lake, not far from fellow U.S.-crafted bicycle and accessories brand Shinola's first LA shop on Sunset Boulevard's buzzing 3500 block.

Located in the 350-square-foot space formerly occupied by clothing boutique Silverlake Fashion, the shop offers the label's weatherproof messenger bags, backpacks, outerwear, men's cycling apparel, and more, plus merch from brands like Arkiv, Acre, and Advanced Projects.

Mission Workshop is open daily from 11am to 7pm.
