Like many car-centric metropolises, LA life involves traffic, stress induced by traffic, and bad skin induced by smog and traffic. One of those problems can be fixed by smothering your face with some mystery cream, or you could slather your visage with a whole regimen inspired by water—which is what you'll get at luxury Japanese brand Onsen's first-ever US boutique off West 3rd Street. In addition to scoring Face Haus's second fast facial bar and Aesop's fourth LA apothecary, the starry shopping stretch welcomes its newest skincare haven to the nabe next Monday, September 29th.
Inspired by the healing properties of traditional Japanese hot springs, the cruelty-free line is known for its Micro Water Complex formula designed to rehydrate and restore parched skin. On top of carrying the brand's full range of daily face and body products, including cleansers, toners, moisturizers, exfoliating treatments, and repairing masks ($16.95 to $999.95), the 500-square-foot space will also offer skin analysis and diagnosis services via the Visia machine.
To get acquainted with Angelenos to its line, Onsen is hosting a soft-launch party at their new digs (142 S Flores Street) on Monday from 6pm to 8pm. Guests will enjoy pampering, sake, an Asian-inspired hors d'oeuvres.
