Los Angeles has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around LA that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.

Manhattan Beach-based Emily McDonald is the founder of The Stylist LA. Home to Hurley the Store Sidekick, The Stylist LA allows girls on a budget to borrow designer dresses for every special occasion. With a stellar brand lineup that includes Parker, Naven and Nightcap, McDonald ensures that you'll never wear the same dress twice. It's clear she has style so we were eager to find out where she likes to shop. When we asked, the juice-loving lady recommended a beachy boutique in her Manhattan Beach hood.

The perfect mix of beachy and boho, Waverly is one of the South Bay's best hidden gems. Marissa, the owner, does an incredible job of finding unique pieces and mixing high and low labels. I love that I can pop into this store weekly and there will always be something new and different that catches my eye. From their vintage jewelry to their various romper choices, I can't get enough of the chic yet effortless vibe of everything in this store.
