Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Back in January, we spread the word that A.P.C. was taking over Vista Art Galleria's former space at 123 W 9th Street in Downtown. Then in June, we revealed that the cult-cool brand was invading yet another former art boutique's space for its Silver Lake digs at 3517 Sunset Boulevard. Though A.P.C. dropped hints that both locations would debut "at the end of this year," we now have slightly more official, albeit still very vague, opening dates.
Per the French label, A.P.C. in Silver Lake and at 9th and Broadway will open "before January 2015"—and if our analog calendar is correct, this means sometime between now and December 31st. Apparel News reports construction has finally begun on that Downtown boutique; given the brand's history with swift hammers on Melrose, we wouldn't be surprised if an October or November opening is in the cards. Stay tuned!
